Hey Champ

2008 has been a breakthrough year for this Chicago trio, culminating in their signing with Lupe Fiasco's 1st & 15th label back in October.
I can't wait to hear an LP from these guys, and, with Lupe backing them, 2009 could see Hey Champ breaking out from the blogs and into the mainstream.
Before this happens take a little time to check out why this band appear to be destined for great things with a couple of tracks i've had on heavy rotation this year - Cold Dust Girl & Face Control. Plus a remix from those Tokyo upstarts 80Kidz, and Hey Champ's own remixes of Perfect Love Antidote & Both Gotta Move On by the 'original rowdy crooner' Mehdi Pinson and his band Scenario Rock.

Don't forget to check out the awesome live vid of Hey Champ covering Let There Be Light by Justice
